A Simple but Tasty Pecan Crusted Trout Fish Recipe

There are tons of trout fish recipes and no matter whether it’s baked, roasted or grilled trout’s good for you. But sometimes you don’t want to make a recipe that takes a long time to prep and cook. Sometimes you just want an easy, ready in 30 minutes meal for your family—and this dish can’t get any easier.

When you’re cutting your trout into fillets, leave the skin on and only bread the flesh side of the fish. Your trout will be crispy on both sides.

Ingredients:

½ c. of pecans, crushed
½ tsp. of salt
All-purpose flour, as needed
1 beaten egg or ¼ c. of melted butter
1 tsp. of dried rosemary, crushed
4 4 oz. trout fillets
Black pepper to season
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 400˚ F and lightly coat a medium-sized baking sheet with cooking spray.
Next, pour the flour into a small bowl; in another small bowl, blend pecans, salt, rosemary and pepper.
Spread the flour on the flesh side of each fillet, shaking off the extra flour; then brush each fillet with the egg (or butter). Lastly, coat the flesh side of each fillet with the pecan mixture and slightly press the breading on each trout.
Place each trout fillet on the greased baking sheet, skin side down, and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
This savory recipe will pair well with a garden salad, wild rice, steamed sugar snap peas or creamed spinach with mushrooms. If the recipe is a bit bland for your taste, next time try substituting some panko for the flour or maybe add a little cayenne pepper to give it a kick!

The Absolutely Essential Fly Fishing Accessories Guide

If you're trying to experience the best fly fishing in the world, you need the right fly rod, the right flies and, the right fly fishing apparel and tools. The following accessories will turn your trip into an absolute success.

SUNGLASSES - Proper eye protection makes it easier to stand in a stream or pond all day, casting away. Generally speaking, polarized sunglasses work best: they block out the most amount of potentially fatiguing UV rays.
FISHING VEST - Hauling a bulky fly fishing tackle box in and out of the stream can be incredibly annoying. A fishing vest can help you hold all your flies closer to hand: simply spread them through multiple small tackle boxes and fill the various pockets of your vest with them.
NON SLIP BOOT PADS - Standing in a stream can be relatively dangerous if you should slip and fall on the rocks. Installing non-slip boot pads to the bottom of your boots will give them the extra traction and grip they need to ensure a successful and safe fly fishing experience.
TYING AND CLIPPING TOOLS - Dealing with the difficulties of fly line requires a wide range of tools, some of which will help you tie while others will help you clip. Good fly line tools to include in a small tackle box include clippers, hemostat (for removing flies), a nail-knot tool, and even a small pair of scissors.

If you're interested in learning more about fly fishing accessories or purchasing from our large selection of fishing tools, please contact us today or shop our online store. We can teach you all you need to know about fly fishing.

How to Build Your Car Camping Sleep System

Wheels up! It’s time to roll. You’ve got your car packed with a weekend’s worth of gear and the stoke is high. You’re ready to park your rig in the woods, build a fire, roll out your sleeping pad and enjoy a comfy night in the great outdoors. But about that sleeping pad … are you using a legit car camping mattress yet? And are you still sleeping in a restrictive, ultralight mummy bag while on road-side adventures? If you haven’t upgraded to a plush car-camping sleep system, here are a few tips on how to do it right in the front-country.

Go Big with the Mattress

When your car is hauling the weight of your gear, there’s no reason to skimp on your mattress. Get a thick, plush, luxurious, super fatty mattress and rest your bones in true comfort. Our Camp & Comfort mattresses are built for this sole purpose and provide the ultimate outdoor sleeping experience when carry-weight isn’t an issue. Check out the MondoKing 3D. This ultra-thick monster sports 4 inches of foamy loft and swallows a few uneven bumps on the ground like an aardvark wolfing down a row of ants.

What’s that? You’re driving a Prius and that MondoKing won’t fit next to all your gear? OK, we get it. If pack size is an issue, consider going with an air mattress instead of foam. This doesn’t mean you have to give up comfort though. Check out the loft of our NeoAir Camper SV, for example. This 3-inch-thick blue beast provides the stabilized comfort you want in a car camping mattress, plus it packs down small to fit inside tight spaces. An added bonus is the Camper’s SpeedValve, which will save you time inflating and deflating the mattress—saving you precious moments that you can use to, say, snap an Instagram of the sunset, or sleep a few minutes longer before packing up on a chilly morning.

Speaking of chilly mornings, another key consideration when building your car camping sleep system is the R-Value of your chosen mattress. If you’re planning on running the gamut of seasons with this pad, a foam core is a warmer option. To compare, our 2-inch thick Basecamp mattress with a foam core has a robust R-Value of 5, making it warm enough for all-season camping. A NeoAir Camper air mattress, on the other hand, has greater loft with 3 inches, yet the R-Value hovers down around 2.2—warm enough for spring, summer and fall, but not a winter pad.

OK, so you’re super picky and want the packability of an air mattress but the warmth of foam. No worries, you can have your cake and eat it too. Check out the NeoAir Dream.

The Dream holds a lightweight, 3-inch thick NeoAir mattress core inside a 1-inch foam pillow top. Take the air mattress out and go backpacking, put it back in and sleep on 4 inches of cushy, warm loft during a car camping excursion. Pack it up small either way, thanks to the compressibility of the NeoAir core.

THE SYNTHESIS OF SOLAR ENERGY

Photovoltaic or photoelectric panels allow the synthesis of solar energy into electricity.
For this, they use photovoltaic cells made of semiconductor materials, which can release their electrons under the action of an energy (here the light energy). It is the release of these electrons which under the action of photons, allow the production of an electric current. The current, which is created by the displacement of the electrons, is continuous. It is collected by very thin wires connected to each other and then routed to the next photovoltaic cell. Thus, the current is added by passing from cell to cell until reaching the connection terminals of the panel.
Today we can observe two main types of photovoltaic technologies:

Crystal technology
This technology is built from highly pure silicon produced in blocks and cut into ultra-thin discs. Subsequently, this pure silicon will be enriched in doping elements (P, As, Sb or B), in order to be able to transform it into a semiconductor of P or N type. These cells will then be connected in series with each other and coated with anti-reflective coating layers to increase light absorption. Finally, they will be covered by the protective glass module, to avoid premature aging due to environmental effects.
Silicon can exist in three forms (monocrystalline, polycrystalline or ribbon ) which correspond to three crystalline technologies which are differentiated by their yield and their cost.
Today, crystalline technology accounts for around 80% of the photovoltaic market share.

2. Thin film technologies

These technologies are more recent than the previous ones and do not use slices of raw silicon. Indeed, they consist of a substrate (glass, metal, plastic ...) on which is deposited a thin uniform layer, composed of one or more materials which are reduced to powder and which are: copper, indium, gallium, tellurium, germanium and/or selenium. This technique performed under vacuum allows a considerably lower investment in energy and materials for manufacturing. Indeed, while panels of about 250 microns are used in the crystalline technique, the resistors of the absorber in the thin-film technique are only a few micrometers. However, a concern about raw material resources is present. In fact, these new technologies use rare metals such as indium, whose world production is 25 tons per year, and the April 2007 price of $ 1,000 per kilogram; tellurium with world production of 250 tonnes per year; gallium production of 55 tons per year; the germanium of a production of 90 tons a year.
Yet, thin-film panel technology is becoming more prevalent and its market share is growing at an incredible rate, now accounting for about 20%, while in 2005 it was only 5.8%. %.

Solar panels are not a real innovation of Man. Indeed, the capture of energy from the Sun has always been used by plants using photosynthesis. This complex bioenergetic process allows so-called autotrophic organisms to produce organic matter from inorganic materials. Thus, in the presence of visible light, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and water (H 2 0) are converted into glucose and oxygen (O 2 ).

Twelfth Appeal of the Pendulum Fund Puts the Focus on Cycling

The twelfth appeal of the Pendulum Fund revolves entirely around bicycle projects. Companies can submit a subsidy file until the end of October. Flemish parliamentarian Marino Keulen (Open Vld) asked competent minister Weyts a few questions about this: "It is positive that the Minister has increased the available budget from € 1.65 million to € 2.2 million by making the accumulated reserve available. That is a positive evolution. By focusing on the bicycle, the minister hopes to increase commuter traffic by bicycle. "

The recent research relocation behavior shows that the share of the bicycle is increasing in commuter traffic. To further stimulate this, the twelfth appeal of the Pendulum Fund will fully focus on the bicycle. "Normally € 1.65 million per call is foreseen, but the Minister has decided to also use the reserves accumulated over the years within the Pendulum Fund. That is why € 2.2 million is provided for this call. That is a big step forward, "Marino concludes.

Sharing good practices

"It is a pity that the minister is not planning any additional awareness of joint projects. Companies can already do that now, but in practice too little use is made of this. For example, the business park Evolis in Kortrijk has its own bicycle sharing system thanks to the Pendelton's and this is a good practice that can also offer a solution for other industrial estates. This could be communicated more actively to interested companies, "concludes Cologne.

Optimizing Security at the De Lijn Depots After a Few Stolen Buses Are More Than Necessary

In one year, two regular buses were stolen from a depot (March and December 2017) and joyriding started. Flemish parliamentarian Marino Keulen (Open Vld) asked a question about the security of the depots to Minister Weyts. "De Lijn is working on the completion of a global plan with concrete security measures.

In the second half of 2018 this can be implemented in concrete terms and the concrete measures can be put out to tender. The implementation of security measures can then be implemented in 2019. These are positive steps forward in the security of the depots, but it takes a long time before they can be put into practice ", says Cologne.

The improper use of line buses is certainly no warp and woof. Since 2014, a total of four buses have been stolen. Nevertheless, the security of the parking places is an important item. "It is positive that De Lijn is taking steps towards a global plan with concrete security measures, but the implementation of the building-physical elements (eg barriers or automation of a gate) takes a long time," Marino Keulen notes.

However, concrete actions have already been taken at the specific location of the stolen property (Turnhout) to increase security. On the one hand, by means of an adapted key plan whereby the keys of the buses are kept shielded and on the other hand the manual gate at the entrance to the depot is automated and it is checked whether two additional barriers can be placed at the entrance gate.

"We certainly should not exaggerate the problem, since De Lijn buses are hardly stolen, but a global security plan is not a luxury. It is positive that De Lijn is working on this and hopefully, by 2019, all depots will be optimally secured, "concludes Cologne.

How to Make Pleasantly Collide Dog and Baby?

Baby is expected soon and parents are worried about the dog-child relationship. How to prepare the arrival of baby so that the relationship between the animal and the new little human is happening pleasantly and safely?

It will start working before baby arrives. Once the room is done, it will be necessary to decide if the dog is entitled to stay there. It would be unwise to let the dog go as he pleased without supervision, but it may be appropriate to give him access to the room in the presence of a parent. Familiarizing the dog with new developments will be the first step. The dog should be taught not to jump on the bed or other furniture in the nursery. Bring the dog and give him some treats in the room. This in order to associate this place with something positive. Place a baby gate to prevent the dog from entering the room without permission.

The dog will also have to learn to stay, lie down and sit in front of any adult on command and this well before the baby is present.

Get a doll that looks like a baby and do the gestures that you will have to do with baby, the dog observing you: rock, wash, change the layer of the doll, go with her in the room and place it in the bed . Go walk with the stroller, the dog walking on a leash. The dog must learn to control his impulsiveness in front of the doll and all the gestures that will soon compose his daily life.

The cries of a child are often a source of stress for a dog. The dog may want to intervene to stop his cries. It will therefore have to get used to it. Make him hear baby crying on the internet and associate them with mouth-watering delicacies or a game he likes (ball games, bones to eat, etc.). Start at low volume and then gradually increase it. You can find them at the following address: http://www.soundsnap.com/human/babies

Once the baby is born, bring him / her and make him feel a blanket in which the baby will have stayed, before the baby arrives at home. Teach him to sit down and lie down in front of this blanket with delicacies, in order to create once again, a positive association.

Here! He is finally here, this beautiful baby. Your pet will also want to see and smell it. Make the presentation calmly, sitting, because if you are standing, the dog will jump to feel it. Place the dog on a leash to ensure safety and work for two people. An adult has the baby in his arms and the other has the dog on a leash. This second person makes all good behavior (calm, sitting or lying in front of the baby) with delicacies. Do not push him back if he feels the baby and do not punish him, but talk to him gently. Encourage him to sit or lie down. Go back and forth in the house with the baby in your arms. The dog can follow calmly. It is necessary that the presence of the baby is more for the dog.

With the growth of the child, you will have to place your child on a blanket on the floor, couch or in a small seat. Continue training the dog by teaching him calmness and staying in front of the baby. The use of the cage can also be a good solution to keep your dog in control if you want to leave the room without the child. In no time, the dog will have to remain alone with the child placed at its height. Be careful even if you have the best dog in the world!

Each new stage connected to the growth of the child will have to be worked with the dog. When baby starts, teach your dog to stay calm as the child approaches him. Same thing when he starts running, etc.

A new baby means a change of routine for you but it should not be for the dog. That is to say, if you want to have a good time. The dog must not have lost on the road because of a child has entered the family. Your schedule can be changed. This may be your biggest challenge. If you can not do it for lack of time or because of fatique, hire a small neighbor to take over for a while.

Put yourself in the place of your dog who is traveling in his life, this new human being is unknown to him. Give him the chance to adapt to it in a positive learning context. Baby will then be a beneficial acquisition for him! And for the baby, it will be the prospect of having a great companion by his side.

Bottle Feeders:(Fat or Worms)

Bootle Feeders:

- a bottle of empty milk;
- a knife or a cutter;
- 1 big and hard stick or 2 small ones;
- wire (essential!);
- string .
With the knife or the cutter, cut from two different sides of the windows (see photo). Plant the sticks or sticks under the windows having first drill with the machine small slots for the (s) host. Lift up the "shutters" of the doors, drill slots to place the string and tie it around. Do the same with the other end of the string on the other opening by wrapping the little rope around the neck of this bottle and that's it! Now you just have to make a loop with the wire to put under the plug and fill with grease mixed with seeds or put some mealworms inside to hang on a tree.

Coconut
With a saw, saw it. Collect the fibers from the nuts for use during the nesting season to use them to nest. Take one of the two halves, pierce it, put a rope inside and hang on a tree. Evident the other half, grate and dry the flesh and then soak before serving. Drill two small holes in the bottom of the hollowed "shell", pass a rope in these two small holes and seal around the rope. Put the fat-seed mixture indoors, cool and hang. If not, drill a hole in the bottom and pass a rather large wire in this hole. Fold the lower part inwards and then put back most of the wire. The final phase is to fold the two hook ends, to put a small net on the hook at the bottom and hang on a tree. This is how to please tits, pics, nuthatches and robins with a simple coconut!
Picnic fruit

The blackbird, the robin, the thrushes ... They love all apples and their trunks. To please them, nothing is easier! Simply plant a nail in the middle of a 15 x 8 cm board, prick a quarter of apple on this nail and tie the whole thing on a branch with string. You can also hang it on a wall by nailing on the original board a board of the same size. Nail the set on a wall and that will make many birds happy!

Variant Ste Barbe
Do you know Ste Barbe? It is a Christian holiday tradition that in early December, we put lentils in a cup containing cotton soaked in water for 28 days to see them sprout. There is a variation of putting sunflower seeds instead of lentils and, after 28 days, putting the sprouts in a pot filled with potting soil. You can make the variant and get the sunflower to give to the birds.
Tip: leave the plant indoors in the sun. Small nets

And yes ! The nets do not have a single use! They can be used to put one or more ball of fat, peanuts ... For that, to pierce a net, to fill it with peanuts, dried fruits or balls of fat and to hang on a small hook! Here's how to recycle these small fillets that basically contain onions, shallots or industrial fat balls!

Log for Great Spotted Woodpeckers
For this, we need only a log, a wood chisel (or bell saw), grease, peanuts and a piton. With the wood chisel (or the hole saw), make holes larger or smaller and deeper all over the log and spaced each by at least 10 cm. Screw the stud to one of the ends of the stand, fill the holes with grease and peanuts, put in the fridge and that's it! This log will be very popular with woodpeckers and tits!

Variation: do not pierce the log and glue or nail capsules or caps, both filled with fat and seeds.
For this we need only scissors and a milk carton. Cut the brick as in the picture, then, with the falls of the brick, cut the ears and the eyes. Wedge the ears in slots provided for this purpose and stick the eyes, hang and you have a beautiful Halloween feeder (you can also paint it)!

Special feeder black and crested tits
It's simple! For that, one needs only fat, an open pine cone, a wire and a ladle with "bill". Pour the fat into the interstices of the pine cone, pass a wire into a hole drilled before, and hang in a tree!

Kitchen storage | Best Kitchen Storage

We do not always do what we like, even in May, I would have loved gardening, sunbathing on a deckchair flipping through a journal-at-the-con-feminine; not at all, I made the first-flush penelopian, that is to say I gave myself to a manic storage as much as convulsive, perfectly satisfactory nevertheless, calming my bad mood (rotten time) and my nerves (all Cons, who? All, Zapatero, Sarkozy, the guy who runs the Dutch bank, all in the lead and this asshole of Domenech).

I always store my stuff in a concern of order harmoniously, I have not made kitchen cupboards, I find it rarely pretty and too often fragile, not resistant to teenage guys. On the other hand, the house is frequented by a lot of people, my children, my friends, my family, the friends of my family, the friends of my children, at a glance we see where is tidy. ...

"Penelope, I'll help you, but where are the trays?"

"Mamina, I do not want to bother you, but where do you stash the coffee mugs?"

"Aunt Pepe, where do you put salt and mustard?"

"Uh, ma'am, could you tell me where are the plates?" Well, there, in general people find themselves there ....

I love to contemplate my kitchen. In these times of uncertainty, the sight of my kitchen, tidy, something soothing, like the primal scream without cry, finally I must understand, the primal blanket. In this kitchen, the morning coffee has a fabulous taste, life an eternity assured, nothing moves, all is well.

For "amateurs" if I can get my hands on old photos of the house, I will do one before after. Very amusing, because the anguish that reigned in this dilapidation (as S Royal and many others I make my words) made me run away cold, icy, trembling, everything changed. I'm still waiting to finally install "my" wood stove, chosen model, lousy said Thom at the Franco-Belgian look, very 1950 ,

Merville, nice name, both vacation and not vacation s. big blanket solid against these winds and tides, volcanoes and tsunamis of life.

My relatives who care about our anonymity do not have to worry, where you have come before and you have recognized me, or not, so there is no risk. And if you know where it is, come have a coffee!

The Next Book on My Shelf

A few weeks ago I started a Copywriting Challenge. I decided to write an article a day, and some LiveMentor students joined me in this noble challenge!

At first I thought of writing an article about the books that matter to an entrepreneur. But it is already seen, and especially there is an exceptional publication on the Facebook page of LiveMentor (look at the comments!):

So I will write about another theme: how to choose the right book?

The underlying question being, what should I be learning at the moment? What is my priority?

In the article  How much does it cost to start a business? , I tell the story of my first business and filing for bankruptcy. I explain my learning investments that are useless .. and my discovery that you need to know how to create a community and master the basics of technology (create a site with WordPress) to launch a project effectively.

What is nice (or horrible, depending on the day) with entrepreneurship is that the necessary skills change all the time. Right now, I'm learning to lead a growing team. We recruit mentors, admissions officers, academics researchers on permanent contracts and internships.

Since I announced these recruitments on LinkedIn, I have received many congratulatory messages. Let's be honest, it's not fun every day!

Yet I am surrounded by bright and very caring people. I have never heard someone at LiveMentor say anything bad about someone else, make plots, or break someone else's work behind him. I knew that at Ubisoft when I was in charge of marketing the game on the Smurfs.

Why is it so hard for a founder when he recruits and his team grows. The difficulty does not come from people, but simply from learning a new everyday life.

It is no longer possible to do everything yourself! I spent a LOT of time realizing what it meant. I have practiced many different jobs at LiveMentor (designer, front-end developer, product manager, marketer, mentor, admissions manager, fundraiser, etc. ..). As I love our mission, I can easily to have fun as long as you do not ask me to put my nose in the accounts.

Except that .. we're not here to have fun every day 🙂 And that right now, you have to put your nose in accounting. That it is necessary to find the right balance between going out of certain subjects, without going to lock oneself in an ivory tower and not knowing anything more about the ground.

I was advised to read "  The Five Temptations of a CEO  ", a book that warns against bad temptations of the CEO.

Like that of being popular, that of keeping the blur too long while waiting to be certain or that of not building a relationship of trust with his teams because one is afraid to appear vulnerable.

I do not like it like pitch! And what is your reading of the moment? Tell me in comments. I read all the messages with pleasure.
